This piece is in constant motion, as if the bamboo and the paper shapes are swirling about the head. It evokes the heavens, early Pythagorean philosophy -- the mystical connotation of numbers, and, on the less adorned side, the bowed bamboo reminds one of the framework of a Viking ship, like the Kon-Tiki.
