We visited the SoHo
store. There are two other Manhattan stores: on Madison and on
Columbus. What we saw in SoHo: the original SoHo look, going back to the Seventies:
moss in the window, country antique furniture, distressed wood floors. The
store looks very pretty from the outside. It draws you in. There are no
stations for makeup consultation. |
| Vibe |
You're on your own. The sales people ignore you.
They're not unfriendly; they just don't notice that you're there. However,
the staff's own makeup was the best of all the stores. One suggestion:
the test pots were pretty rank. They need to be replaced frequently throughout the
day. |
| The Goods |
All Face Stockholm products. 40 different skin
and hair products. Really interesting shades of lipstick (we would single out a
sparkly kiwi green, a pearly indigo, and a blue gunmetal). Pearlized eye shadow
colors, a wide range of nail polish shades, blushes, foundations, bath salts, chic makeup
bags, brushes, wands and other application tools. |

Trinity Collection in Charming $16. The Trinity
Collection is a multi-purpose cosmetic. It's an all-in-one eye, cheek and lip creme,
ranging from nude to deep violet. |
