We asked Manhattan college students to answer the following question:

What beauty product do you plan to buy this month, and why?

Stephanie:
"Maybelline eyelash curler. It accentuates my eyes, and I hate it when my lashes aren't curled. Plus, I really need a new one!"

Vanessa:
"MAC clear lip gloss. Makes my lips look more luscious, and it's a natural form of makeup."

Kelley:
"Estee Lauder Fruition. It makes my skin soft, and gives it a natural glow."

Jason:
"Banana Boat Aloe Gel. It keeps my skin moist, and I can use it every day."

Jamire:
"MAC lipstick in Tan. Works well with my complexion. Not messy looking."

Mona Lisa:
"Kiehl's Lip Gloss. Makes my lips feel sensual."

Westley:
"Dep Hair Gel. It makes my hair nice and stiff, but it doesn't flake."

Marie:
"Wet n' Wild lipstick in Berry and Barely There. It's $2.00! Lipstick brightens up my face."

Jamie:
"Thermasilk conditioner. Controls the static in my hair."

Irvin:
"Banana Boat sunblock spray. I use it when I run."

Jeriza:
"MAC compact powder. It controls the shine on my face, and I can put it on all throughout the day."

Gypsy:
"Body Shop Shea Body Butter. It keeps my body soft, not oily, goes on nice and smoothe, and feels like cocoa butter."

Dorothy:
"Maybelline lipstick in Cranberry. Stays on for a long time, and it's the right shade for me."
