Lesson 4: Shoes. A no-brainer. What woman can resist a pair of extraordinary shoes? We can’t imagine. We'd guess that as soon as cavemen could braid plant fibers for a sole, attach straps or cord to bark, or have some pelt left over, the first shoe was born. Well, now that the year 2000 approaches, all we can say is, you’ve come a long way baby!

Style # 3308

We at Fashion Finds needed a fabulous shoe fix. Where better to find it than at Sergio Rossi, the Italian designer of the world's sexiest shoes? These shoes scream sexy. They make the foot and leg look incredible, whether the shoe is a high-heeled sandal, a loafer on a wedge, a low-heeled slip-on, a mid-calf or high boot. This man knows female anatomy, especially below the knee. There is true genius in the curve of the sandal strap, the line of the shoe, the shape of the boot, the placement of the heel. These elements all add up to a shoe that totally flatters the wearer. Mr. Rossi sure understands what a f***k me shoe is supposed to look like!

Shoe style # 4033, purse style # 1003

Sergio Rossi has been designing shoes for 40 years. The company also manufacturers shoes for Dolce & Gabbana and Gianni Versace. Headquarters is in San Mauro Pascoli, not far from Rimini, in the Emilia-Romagna province of Italy. There are 13 boutiques worldwide (see our list below). Here in the US, there is only one boutique, on Madison Avenue in New York City. Saks and Neiman Marcus carry Sergio Rossi nationwide. Sergio Rossi was kind enough to let us visit the New York store, try on some super-gorgeous shoes, and shoot some pictures. Mille grazie!

Style # 8469

Peta Wilson wears Sergio’s designs on the USA Network series La Femme Nikita, and she also shops at the store on Madison Avenue when she is in town. So, we thought we’d get Nikita-ized too. What you are viewing is the Fall/Winter 2000 collection. So without any further ado, let’s get on with the shoooooes!!!!!
