What a great assignment.  Bring my expertise to a collaboration with MTV News to create a daily syndicated strip to compete with Entertainment Tonight--but focusing on the 18 to 35 demographic.
I was hired by the Viacom Entertainment Group, which was to serve as the distributor, and positioned alongside MTV News and MTV Programming management, who had never before mounted something as massive as an ET-like daily show.
My primary focus was on the budget and operating plan, which would have been approximately $40 million the first year, in 1993 dollars.
The strip would have featured Kurt Loder as senior music correspondent, Cindy Crawford as feature reporter, and a great deal more.
Unfortunately, the pilot didn't cut it internally, and with Extra and Access Hollywood being announced, Viacom folded the tent.
